Pomodoro Timer v1.2
Version 1.2 of the Pomodoro Timer has been released into the App Store! I’m excited about this release because we’ve squashed a couple bugs and introduced some very simple pomodoro tracking.

You’ll see a small black tab at the bottom of the screen. Tap it, and it will slide up to show a spot to quickly jot down your pomodoro results. Every time you tap on the tracking area you can choose to mark a “completed” or “abandoned” pomodoro. As these marks accumulate, you can see at a glance your pomodoro progress for whatever you are working on. When you’re done and want to clear out the tracker, tap it and choose “reset”. (Oh, and you can undo by shaking.)
Note, this doesn’t maintain any kind of history. This app is evolving nicely, and we won’t rule that out. But we’ve found that everyone has their own way of tracking pomodoros over time. We’ll have to wait and see if some kind of standard emerges that we can join with. Integration with other applications isn’t out of the question either. But don’t forget the original idea behind the pomodoro. It was started on pen and paper because computers are distracting and too much fun to fiddle with.
This app isn’t going to satisfy you if you want a super-hybrid-GTD-pomodoro-productivity-pr0n-all-in-one application. No, this app was born to be simple. Use it in the workflow that fits best for you.
We’ve been pleasantly surprised at the interest in this little timer. It’s a free update, and if it’s not already there, you should see it available for download in iTunes soon. Enjoy and stay focused!
